Oh no.

Schnoo said that celebrity deaths come in 3s - he was right.

I LOVED Jeff Goldblum.

I am hoping with all my heart that this story is a hoax and we will learn that Jeff Goldblum is alive and well on the set of Law and Order. Please.......

Wow, and I thought the third was Ed McMahon. I tell ya, when it's your time, it just is. Rest in Peace, Jeff--what a loss, he was so talented!!

Man, I'll never forget him in "The Fly." Gave me the creeps because he was so good!

Well, apparently, this was a hoax. Not sure what we all should believe here...

But, if it's true it's a hoax, well, thank goodness--I'd much rather have him alive, because he's just such a good actor--and I just can't take any more death today.

Representatives for Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum have dismissed Internet reports the actor has died in New Zealand.

Local police reportedly told website MoviesOnline.com that the star had fallen to his death on the set of his new movie.

Officials claimed the actor had fallen from the Kauri Cliffs on New Zealand's North Island while shooting a scene in an unnamed project, but the actor's publicist has denied the story.

Lisa Kasteler states, "Reports that Jeff Goldblum has passed away are completely untrue. He is fine and in Los Angeles."

Sorry, I can't read that page I linked you to here at work, so I honestly am not entirely sure of the contents of it. On 4chan, it's quite common for someone to post a picture of a celebrity who is not dead with their birth year and this year, followed by goodnight sweet prince to raise doubts as to whether or not they have died. This seemed like a similar sort of prank.

That is pretty much what the link you provided said... though not so eloquently. This is something I did not know so I thought you were really sending sweet condolences.

I think it was a cruel and ill timed prank and was ashamed to find that if I had simply scrolled to the bottom of the page in the first place I would have seen that right away before I posted it here. When I saw the news on twitter I couldn't believe it but I shouldn't feel too bad, after all the New Zealand Police and the New Zealand Today Show were also duped.

Did you see the link below to the Colbert Report? It is so funny.

It would have been a much bigger loss then Michael Jackson. Jeff Goldblum still has a great career going.
